I said that dinner time was 100% better now and we have Atsuko's grandmother to thank for that. (Thank you Baaba!) At least twice a week now, we sit in the living room, turn off the TV, open the patio door, and cook. Cabbage, carrots, mushrooms, daikon, and other vegetables are always on the menu these nights. With Uwajimaya, the Japanese supermarket, just down the hill, we can easily get high-quality sukiyaki beef and have the most amazing dinner. Even Darma wants some of the fun; she sits and watches us as we cook. We give her a lot of carrots and she loves it. I have never seen a dog more content watching someone cook than when Darma watches Atusko. It is the funniest thing. She really loves her mommy!
For Atusko's birthday I got her two roses, nothing fancy. We went to Olive Garden and had a nice meal as well.
For Halloween, we went with our friend John to a small get together. Atsuko baked a pumpkin pie and it was delicious!
